Our summer travel schedule is finally set for the most part. For those of you keeping track at home:
Whole family, London, June 22-26
Stace and the kids, Utah, June 28-August 16
Ethan, Warsaw, sometime in July
Ethan, Minnesota, July 24-29
Ethan, Chicago, July 29-31
Ethan, Utah, July 31-August 8
I've had trouble settling on a place to visit this summer while the family's gone. Other than Egypt, which isn't really a good idea right now, nothing has been quite as compelling as Norway was to me last year. However, Warsaw popped into my head a few days ago, and it seems to have stuck, so that's where I'm going.
Unlike a lot of other places we've visited in Europe, Warsaw's old town is only about 50 years old because it was completely wiped out during the war. I'm interested to learn about the history of Poland, what happened during the war, and things like that. (Plus, it'll be a heck of a lot cheaper than Oslo.) So, Warsaw it will be.
