Well, all has been quiet on the blogging front for the past month. Sorry that I haven't written for so long. (That's for you, Lar and Jed.) We were in the States, and I figure no one needs pictures of either Minnesota or Utah.
It was a busy month. During that time, I: worked in Minnesota; visited the dentist for a check-up (but recall that I never get cavities, so it was no big deal); had minor foot surgery; visited my neurologist twice; had an MRI of my brain and spinal cord; donated blood platelets; donated whole blood; flew to Utah and back to Minnesota; went with Tanner to see our friend Chad Hoopes solo with the Minnesota Orchestra; spent four unexpected, extra days for work in the Twin Cities on my way back to Switzerland; and gained four pounds. Stace: flew back and forth between Utah and Minnesota; spent lots of time with friends and relatives in Utah; spent lots of time with friends and relatives in Minnesota; just about assaulted a Delta ticket counter employee in Salt Lake City who tried to charge her $300 for her heavy bags because he wouldn't believe that she was an Elite frequent flier (I guess she just doesn't have that "Elite frequent flier" look) (with help from both sides of the Atlantic, we got it worked out); attempted to smuggle neither electronic devices nor liquids through airport security (hooray, Stace!); donated neither blood nor platelets; and lost more than four pounds. Tanner and Lindsey: caught up with friends and cousins, flew back and forth between Utah and Minnesota; and, by the end of all of this, were complaining about how much they missed Switzerland.
I got back here on Monday, so I have a two-day head start on recovering from jet lag. My new goal is not to get on an airplane for about five months.

Were they really complaining about missing Switzerland? That is fabulous!
