Today's painful conversation with Lindsey:
In the practice for tomorrow's children's program in church, when asked how she could best help her family, Lindsey spontaneously ditched her scripted line, "Help clean up," and went with her ad-libbed line, "Help Dad do my hair." When I had a discussion with her off to the side about saying what she's supposed to say, she replied, "But I want to say 'help Dad do my hair' because you do it so bad when Mom's gone." Ow.
