Well, we put Gretchen on a plane back to Minnesota this morning. She got to see lots of Switzerland during the week she was here, including visits to the Italian part, the French part, and the Eiger. While here, Gretchen made two excellent cheese selections: one called Pilatus-Käse and one called Ägeritaler Chüstig. Both are half-hard cheeses and are fairly sharp. The Pilatus-Käse is especially good. And she even left them here with us rather than allowing her fellow passengers to enjoy the aroma on the plane.
My folks get here on Friday. Unfortunately for them, the U.S. dollar has dropped about 6% against the Swiss franc in the past two weeks, so their time here will be more expensive than it would have otherwise been. (I didn't see that drop coming, either, or I would have stocked up on Swiss francs before things went south. Oh, well. That's life.)

Hope you have fun with Lar and Ger, Jed and Chelsey!
Will you tell Geri Happy Mother's Day from Ryan and I and that we love her very much!
Thanks.
I've mentioned to Dad the correlation between the timing of his visits (like Australia) and circumstances (like the weather)
Seems to also be the case with finance (like exchange rate)
